Daintree Rainforest contains the oldest surviving rainforest in the world and an extraordinary diversity of uniquely Daintree animals, plants and fungi.
Consisting of nearly 900 000 hectares, this rainforest is the most unique on earth. Vegetation is primarily tropical rainforest, but also includes open eucalypt forest, wetlands and mangrove forests.

PORT DOUGLAS
Just a 45-minute drive from Cairns Port Douglas is a quiet little coastal town that offers some of Australia’s best seafood restaurants, boutique shops and tropical beaches. This very relaxed little town offers great access to the many activities available in the region ranging from day tours to over night trips.
DAINTREE
Cruise the tidal Daintree River where warm seawater and cool freshwater meet for the opportunity to see Estuarine Crocodiles, endemic birds of the region, frogs, pythons, tree snakes, butterflies and insects, some of these are rare and only found in this area. Or embark on a tour deep into the Rainforest to see the many waterfalls and majestic creeks.
CAPE TRIBULATION
Cape Tribulation has so many activities on offer including bush walking, kayaking, horse riding treks, diving and snorkeling, exotic fruit tastings, river cruises, zip lining through the rainforest canopy and even 4WD safaris. Located on the northern side of the Daintree River, at the end of the sealed road, here you can position yourself between the tumbling rainforest and glistening corals.
COOKTOWN
Cooktown is nestled between the mouth of the Endeavour River and Grassy Hill and with Mt Cook as a backdrop; Cooktown is a charming, historical, un-spoilt town that shy’s away from the urgency of modern life. The famous Nature’s Powerhouse set within the historic Botanic Gardens is an Environment Interpretive Centre. The Grassy Hill offers spectacular 360 degree panoramic views of Cooktown, the Endeavour River and The Coral Sea.
