The Woolshed offers clean, quiet and friendly accommodation for the budget minded traveller in the centre of Hervey Bay.

Family owned and operated our rooms are spread out over 4 buildings situated on 1 acre of lush tropical gardens, fish pond, gum trees and palms which attract a variety of local wildlife.

To socialize and eat check out our truly unique kitchen/common room, it resembles an Aussie Woolshed, is entirely built of wood and oozes character and atmosphere. The Woolshed Backpackers is located in the centre of Hervey bay and only a 5-minute walk to the beach, supermarket, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Hervey Bay is on the Fraser Coast and is the closest access point to Fraser Island and world renowned Humpback Whale Watching. Lady Elliot Great Barrier Reef Island is a short flight from Hervey Bay.

Guests can experience snorkelling, scuba diving, 4WD, dolphin watching, swimming with Whales, jet ski, paddle board, skydive, fishing, horse riding, swimming or relax in a hammock at the Woolshed and share their adventures with other travellers.

Sydney and Brisbane have 5 direct flights to Hervey Bay every day, Premier and Greyhound buses offer 5 services per day from anywhere in Australia and Queensland rail offers a variety of services.
