Yongala Dive is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort based in Alva Beach (near Ayr) with the closest proximity to the S.S.Yongala.
Established in 2003, this dive centre has earned an international reputation for delivering a quality experience, professional service, safety, and value while maintaining the relaxed North Queensland style. In August 2019, the centre began developing a new Dive Centre, still ideally located by the beach for ultimate relaxation, complete with boutique Diver’s Accommodation to accommodate all passengers and overnight guests.
The centre offers certified divers a unique adventure, including a 4WD journey to the beach to launch the vessel for the renowned Yongala experience. As award winners in the ‘adventure tourism’ category, they have perfected their winning formula for unforgettable experiences.
As an Advanced Eco Tourism accredited operator, the centre is dedicated to providing an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable experience, meeting the needs of Eco-conscious travellers.
